Traditional Chinese Medicine has a long history for treating musculoskeletal injures, including Sports Injures and Martial Arts Injuries, such as sprains, strains, dislocations and fractures over it's thousands of years history.

In Chinese Medicine the pain, swelling and heat produced during a strain or sprain is due to blood, fluids, and Qi (internal energy) stasis, therefore the goal of Chinese Medicine treatments, such as Acupucnture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Moxibustion (Heat Therapy), is to reduce heat and to promote the return of smooth free flow circulation of blood, fluids and Qi, so as to flush out stale blood, fluids and toxins from the area, while promoting fresh blood & it's nutrients, fluids and Qi to the area to relieve pain and promote healing.

Chinese Herbal Medicine can be particularly helpful during the acute phase and in regards to internal bruising, in the form of Herbal Soups & Pills to be ingested or Herbal Liniments, Soaks & Poultices to be applied externally. Chinese Nutrition also plays an important role in the healing process.
